Paley Center for the Media has been dedicated to educating the public on the importance of media — television, radio, and new, emerging platforms — since 1975. It’s thanks to the Paley Center that you can enjoy NBC’s 1939 silent film of the melodrama “The Streets of New York,” as well as a previously lost production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella.” The Paley Archive includes over 160,000 programs spanning 100 years. The center hosts both educational events as well as fun ones, both of which serve to inform the public about media’s far-reaching impact. Beyond television and radio archives, the Paley Center recently began to tackle video gaming as a medium, and now hosts gaming events as well.
